Meet Our Instructors
Theresa Mulqueen
Theresa took her first yoga class to soothe an injury due to a car accident. She felt the benefits of Yoga immediately and continued practicing. She decided to take the 200-hour Teacher Training at Charm City Yoga under the direction of Kim Manfredi.
She has now been teaching for several years and looks forward to growing her practice. Yoga has brought a sense of balance and calmness to Theresa’s life. She is honored to have the opportunity to share the benefits of Yoga with others.
Heather Bouchelle
Heather was first introduced to yoga almost 20 years ago, just to add a mix into her fitness routine. She was hooked after that first savasana and yoga has been in and out of her life ever since.
She began to make it more of a focus in her life, simply because “Yoga makes me happy” and completed her 200-hour training in April 2017 and SUP Yoga training through Stoked Yogi in June 2017.
Heather loves the outdoors and is outside whenever possible, hiking, paddling, practicing yoga. Teaching allows her to share her love of yoga and the peace it brings her. There is always something new to learn – about a pose, your practice, or yourself.
Kathy Heimburger
After my first yoga class, I felt more connected to myself and wanted to learn more. I completed my 500-hour training to become a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT500) under the guidance of Jodie Rufty-Graux and Caitlin Casella at YogaWorks NYC. I developed a passion for understanding anatomy as it applied to yoga and studied with anatomy teacher Jason Ray Brown. I completed 100-hour training in anatomy, biomechanics, and kinesiology. I bring a passion for learning into my practice and teaching.
When I get on my mat, I like to create an opportunity to explore yoga postures in novel ways. I use thoughtful sequencing of postures, functional movement, and props that help me to deepen my understanding. This awareness directs the actions needed to organize and engage my physical body to align more clearly with my inner space. It becomes the light that shines on my innate vitality, love, and joy. I take that sense of integration with me as I step off my mat and back into life. Sharing my practice with students allows me to be a guide as they playfully explore this connection for themselves.
Bill Ekey
Bill was a mathematics teacher and an administrator in the public schools and at the local community college for 45 years before retiring in 2017. He started taking yoga classes in 2015 to address the aches and pains in his back, knees, and hips. He found yoga to be so beneficial, that he completed his 200 hours Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) training in June 2020.
As a part of his yoga training, he offered a yoga class for men and also taught chair yoga. During the first five months of the COVID pandemic, Bill taught a yoga lesson to his wife Penny almost every evening. Bill and Penny have one daughter and a granddaughter who lives in Catonsville, Maryland. Teaching yoga is a truly satisfying experience for him, and he enjoys bringing the benefits of yoga to other people.
Linnea Tober
Linnea was introduced to yoga during her junior year of high school. She was immediately hooked by how it calmed her anxiety and helped with pain….she has since been practicing, on and off, for over 25 years.
Linnea is a professional artist, color therapist, reiki master, reflexologist, and holds a Master in the Art of Teaching (MAT). Having battled fibromyalgia, she is drawn to helping others with various pain and/or anxiety issues, via yoga and movement. Her classes combine her unique knowledge base of energy work, chakras, natural remedies, and color therapy for a unique flow.
During the Covid pandemic, she was guided that it was time to combine her love of teaching, yoga, dance movement, and metaphysical practices and she completed her 200-hour YTT.
Linnea truly loves teaching, connecting with other yogis, and sharing her love and passions to help others. She is thrilled to join the Yoga Studio 723 team!
Lori Gilbert
Lori has been practicing yoga since 1994, and in 2017 found Kundalini, which changed her life by helping her find a strength she didn’t know she possessed as well as ways to manage stress and anxiety.
She trained with world-renowned teacher Kia Miller and Radiant Body Yoga obtaining her 200-hr teacher training certification in 2020 and her 500-hr in 2022. As a former English teacher in Harford County, Lori is comfortable in the teacher’s seat but looks at her classes as a collaboration between everyone involved.
